- Tornado in Jefferson County, USA
-One killed and other two injured after a tornado touched down in Jefferson County. The twister brought winds of 105-110 miles/hour to southeast Jefferson County which damaged several houses
-The 60-year-old woman died in Jefferson County (Opdyke), Illinois when the tornado crushed her mobile home
-At least 1000 houses without power
-There was a tornado warning for southeastern Jefferson County until 1:30 p.m

- M 4.9 moderate earthquake in Island of Hawaii, Hawaii (@ 44 km depth) with epicenter located just below Honomu. About 70,000 people will have felt light shaking of MMI IV. Light shaking will have felt by the people of Papa'ikou, Wainaku, Hilo and Pepeekeo. People of Mountain View, Kea'au, Kailua-Kona, Kalaoa and Kihei will have experienced weak shaking of MMI III.

14:39 UTC (local time Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 09:39 AM @ epicenter) - M 5.1 moderate earthquake in Metropolitana region, Chile (@ 67 km depth) with epicenter located 37 km SW of Los Andes. People of Llaillay will have felt moderate shaking of MMI V. Light shaking will have felt in Santiago.

07:28 UTC (local time Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 03:28 AM @ epicenter) - M 4.6 moderate earthquake in Crete, Greece (@ 49 km depth) with epicenter located 47 km N Khanía. Weak shaking will have felt as far as Iráklion.
05:55 UTC (local time Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 07:55 AM @ epicenter) - M 3.5 earthquake in Northern Algeria (@ 40 km depth) with epicenter located 39 km NW Abu al-hassan. Just weak shaking will have felt in Aattiyah, Algeria.
05:50 UTC (local time 06:50; 2012/03/24 @ epicenter) - M 4.9 moderate shallow earthquake in Iran-Iraq Border Region (@ 16 km depth) with epicenter located 19 km SW Dehloran. Light shaking of MMI IV will have felt as far as Al-Amarah.
05:25 UTC (local time Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 08:25 AM @ epicenter) - M 4.8 moderate shallow earthquake in Namibia (@ 14 km depth) with epicenter located 71 km NW Khorixas. The populated area Windhoek is 395 km far where just weak shaking will have felt.

Update
Following Geological Survey of Namibia, this earthquake is the second biggest in Namibia after the 2009 tremor. Last strong earthquake in Namibia was of magnitude 5.6 which took place at nearby Uis north of Khorixas

Tremor was well felt in Fransfontein and Khorixas area. However, no damage or injury reported. - M 4.8 moderate shallow aftershocks in Oaxaca, Mexico (@ 20 km depth) today with epicenter located 7 km SE Zacatepec. Light shaking will have felt in Ometepec, Guerrero, Mexico. Weak shaking will have experienced as far as Mexico city. Two people died due to M 7.2 very strong earthquake in Mexcio.

- Flooding in New Brunswick, Canada
-Evacuation order issued for residents living in low-lying areas close to the St. John River. The river was at 77.46 metres on Friday.
-Two major ice jams being monitored in Drummond and Woodstock
-Several roads along Woodstock, Hartland, Perth-Andover and Plaster Rock area closed
-A Canadian Forces Cormorant helicopter rescued three people yesterday from flooding area of Bathurst (Middle river area)

The regional office of the Department of Social Development in Perth-Andover closed due to flooding.

- Weak tremor was felt in Sabya governorate in Jizan region – Mashlaha, Al-Hayja and Al-Wajeeh of Saudi Arabia. Earthquake < M 3.5 was felt within 100 km radius. People were seen rushing out of their home. No damage or injury so far.
