USGS has updated the data with magnitude 6.0 @ 9.1 km depth. According to the new earthquake data, the people of Cuajinicuilapa will have experienced strong shaking of MMI VI.

Mexico City Mayor Marcelo Ebrard said (via Twitter) that there was no major damage by today's aftershocks. He looked the situation by a helicopter.

Earthquake tremor was strongly felt in Mexico city. People were evacuated immediately after the quake.

People of Cuajinicuilapa, San Juan Cacahuatepec, Ometepec and San Pedro Amuzgos will have felt strong shaking of MMI VI.

Following USGS preliminary earthquake report, today's Mexican quake is very strong and extremely dangerous.
About 3,000 people will have felt very strong shaking of MMI VI.

An earthquake with preliminary magnitude of 6.3 struck Oaxaca, Mexico today, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The quake's epicenter was about 27 km SSE from Ometepec, Guerrero, Mexico, the agency said. It was 7.6 miles deep.
