  • Flooding in Greensboro, USA
    -Heavy storms and flash floods reported in Triad and Charlotte regions of Greensboro.
    -Several roads were closed after the disaster including Interstate 40 westbound at Highway 68 in Greensboro.
    -Some flights were also diverted from Piedmont Triad airport.
    -Around 10,000 power outages in the Carolinas, mostly in Guilford County, N.C., but also in Mecklenburg County, N.C. and Lancaster, S.C..
    -Greensboro is a city in the U.S. state of North Carolina. It is the third-largest city by population in North Carolina and the largest city in Guilford County.

Flooding List
  • Flooding in Kanchanpur, Nepal
    -The embankment built in the access road at Bichphanta of Parasan-8 in Kanchanpur district of Nepal swept away by the Doda river.
    -Some 660 families are in high risk of flood after the collapse of embankment.
    Update

    Severe weather and heavy rainfall reported in capital Kathmandu this evening.
  • Flooding in Shepparton, Australia
    -Flood Watch issued for the Campaspe, Loddon, Avoca and Wimmera Basins of Shepparton, a city located on the floodplain of the Goulburn River in the north east of Victoria, Australia, approximately 181 kilometres north-east of Melbourne.
    -Damaging winds averaging 50 to 70 km/h forecast for parts of the North Central and North East districts, especially Alpine resorts.

Tropical Cyclone List
  • Hurricane Emilia
    -As of 01:00 UTC, Hurricane Emilia was located 1095 km S of the southern tip of Baja California.
    -Emilia is a strong category two hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson scale.
    -Emilia is forecast to become a major hurricane early today (Tuesday).
    -However no coastal watches or warnings issued.
    Update 17:30 UTC
    Emilia is now a major Category Four hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 140 miles per hour.
  • Hurricane Daniel
    -As of 01:00 UTC, Hurricane Daniel was located 2335 km WSW of the southern tip of Baja California and about 2630 km E of Hilo, Hawaii.
    -Daniel is a category one hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson hurricane wind scale.
    -Daniel is likely to weaken to a tropical storm later today (Tuesday).
    Update 17:15 UTC
    Daniel has weakened to a tropical storm.

  • Avalanche in Ghandruk, Nepal
    -Avalanche reported at Annapurna South which triggered a flood in the Kimrung River.
    -A suspension bridge collapsed by landslide near the origin of the river.
  • Wildfire in Monterey County, California
    -Wildfire burned 2,700 acres in southeastern Monterey County.
    -Fire has spread to Fresno, Kings and San Luis Obispo County. It is 30% contained.
