-At least 100 people killed in massive landslide and floods in three southeastern districts of Chittagong, Cox's Bazaar and Bandarban of Bangladesh.
-More than 250,000 people reported to be affected by the floods.
-The army has been deployed to help with search and rescue efforts in the affected hill region of Chittagong.
-All flights in and out of Chittagong's Shah Amanat International Airport have been suspended since Tuesday afternoon.
-Train service between Chittagong and other parts also closed. A railway bridge reported to be collapsed due to a rain-triggered flash flood.
-Following Chittagong meteorological office, 462.5 millimetres of rainfall was recorded as of 9 p.m. local time on Tuesday.
-According to Weather officials, more heavy rain is expected in the next few days.

Floods in Bangladesh in 1998 covered two-third of the Bangladesh by the waters of the Brahmaputra, the Ganges and the Meghna. The floodwaters swallowed 300,000 houses and killed around 2,000 people.
Monsoon floods are common natural disaster in Bangladesh.
