  • Flooding in Bulgaria
    -8 killed after a dam burst in Southern Bulgaria with 10 still missing
    -700 houses in the village of Biser get flooded after the dam at the Ivanovo Reservoir collapsed
    -A state of emergency declared in southern Bulgaria (Greece has declared an emergency situation in the northern Evros)
    -The government declared February 08 a day of mourning in memory of the victims of the flood
    -Over 60 people evacuated from Biser
    -Train services suspended in southern Bulgaria and many roads remained closed
    -Two bigger dams at Ivaylovgrad and Studena at high risk of overflowing
